Meet Your Aunties!

Claire has been at Nursery for over 20 years.  She started as a student in 1998, then after securing a Teaching Degree at University, began leading Sunshine Room in 2003.  Claire then moved up to be Deputy Manager & in September 2022 took over as Manager.  Claire is our Lead Safeguarding Officer, Records Officer, Health & Safety, Fire Safety & is First Aid Trained.  Claire is responsible for the smooth running of the Nursery & the management of children & staff.  She ensures the safety & wellbeing of the children & ensures her fab staff team are providing varied & stimulating opportunities for the children.  Both of Claire's children attended Nursery & we like to promote that family feeling environment.  

Chloe is our Nursery Deputy Manager & has been in the role since September 2022.  Chloe has been in childcare for over 25 years & completed her CACHE Level 3 Qualification in 2000.  She joined Nursery in 2019 & both of her children attended Nursery.  She is currently undertaking her CERTSEY SENCO training as her main passion is working with children with SEN & has worked in a respite home for children with disabilities.  Chloe is responsible for supporting Claire in their new roles & is also qualified as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.  Chloe is trained in Fire Safety & is First Aid trained.  Chloe works in Rainbow Room & is our Raindrops Room Lead. 

Sarah was appointed Rainbow Room Leader in September 2022.  She is responsible for overseeing the planning & continuous provision of the room.  Sarah has worked in childcare since 2003 when she started working at Just Learning at Great Notley (now Busy Bees).  Sarah then achieved her NVQ3 in 2008.  Both her children came to Nursery here & loved it, so when an opportunity arose to work with us, she jumped at the chance &  started in 2019. 

Sarah is a Designated Safeguarding Lead, providing support to Claire & Chloe. Sarah is also our Speech & Language Co-ordinator for Nursery, is qualified in Food Hygiene & First Aid & has now taken on the roles of Staff Rep & Parent Rep.  

Laura was appointed Sunshine Room Leader in September 2022 & all of her children have been part of our Nursery family.  She is responsible for overseeing the planning & continuous provision of the room.  Laura achieved her CACHE Level 2 Qualification & joined Nursery in February 2015.

Laura is a Designated Safeguarding Lead, providing support to Claire & Chloe. Laura is also one of our Risk Assessment Co-ordinators for Nursery & is a qualified First Aider, also taking on the role as Parent Rep. 

Terri is our Nursery SENCO & works hard to ensure the needs of all children with additional needs & their families are supported. Terri has been with us since 2010 after she had achieved her CACHE Level 3.  Terri is also First Aid trained & is one of our Food Hygiene Co-ordinators.  She is our resident chef when we are lucky enough to be able to do hot dinners for Sunshine Rom. Terri works in Sunshine Room. 

Nicki has been with us since 2010 having qualified with her NVQ Levels 2&3 exams in Childcare & Education & working at Seymour House for 10 years.  All three of Nicki's children have been part of our Nursery family.  Nicki has completed Special Needs training & works very hard to ensure those children with additional needs in Rainbow Room are met.  Nicki is also one of our Behaviour Co-ordinators & is first aid trained. Nicki is currently in Rainbow Room & Raindrops Room. 

Michelle joined Nursery in 2018 as an MDA in Sunshine Room, when her children were part of our Nursery family.  She then decided to give training a go & is about to complete her apprenticeship CACHE Level 3 training.  Michelle now works in both Rainbow Room.  She is first aid trained & is Rainbow Room First Aid Officer.  Michelle is also one of our ENCO's, ensuring our Nursery promotes equality & diversity, plus she is one of our Risk Assessment Co-ordinators.  Michelle is also one of our Outdoor Play Co-ordinators. 

Elena joined us in September 2022.  She has a Level 3 Diploma for Children & Young People which she achieved in 2019  & worked for Camelot Day Nursery for 5 years. 

Elena works in Rainbow Room & Raindrops Room & is first aid trained.  She is one of our ENCO's alongside Michelle to ensure that the Nursery promotes & supports equality & diversity. Elena is also one of our Fire Safety Co-ordinators, supporting Claire & Chloe. 

Louise joined Nursery in January 2024 & has 16 years experience in the childcare sector. She has worked in various settings from birth to 5 years & has a Level 4 qualification. Louise has attended many training courses in relation to childcare from the EYFS, healthy eating, first aid, health & safety & has also recently updated her safeguarding training. She also holds a Level 2 in food hygiene. Louise is also a Mum to two young children & works in Rainbow Room & Raindrops Room. 

Kerry joined us in February 2024 & has settled in quickly. She has a NNEB Level 3 qualification. She has over 32 years childcare experience, working in a local school & two early years settings being a Deputy Manager & a Room Leader.

She has three older children & now has two grandchildren that keep her on her toes!

Kerry has up to date Safeguarding qualifications & is First Aid trained, as well as many other qualifications & certificates to support her continuous professional development within early years. Kerry works in Sunshine Room.
