We are really lucky to have a working kitchen at Nursery which we can use a couple of times a year for hot dinners.  This is brilliant for the Sunshine Room children who are able to sample the delights of Auntie Terri's home cooked, freshly prepared, cooked from scratch meals. 

We may only have a small outdoors area, but we like to make the most of it! We take our classroom outside in the summer & enjoy some free flow play, with children being able to access outside when they wish. 

We have a mud kitchen, lots of different bikes & ride ons, physical toys like skipping ropes, big feet, stompers, a hopscotch & more! 

However, getting out into the community is really important to us.  We like to use Braintree as much as we can, check out our Community page for where we've been! 

We are a church Nursery, so rent the church rooms.  We help them decorate their windows for special times of the year, like Harvest, Remembrance Sunday & the children decorate the Christmas tree for them.

Poppy Day - we also encourage our older Sunshine Room children to participate in the two minutes silence & talk to them about why. 

We love cooking at Nursery! We make flapjacks, scones, biscuits & much more!

Snack is a lovely, social occasion, where we join together to eat.  The children in Sunshine Room are encouraged to be more independent by cutting up their own fruit, using child safety knives  & making their own choices. 

They pour their own drinks & love sitting together with the Aunties to help them. 

Celebrating the Queen's Jubilee was lovely for us.  All our activities that week revolved around the celebrations & we all wore red, white & blue.

What a lovely tea party all together!

We made crowns to wear at our Jubilee Tea Party. 

We marked the occasion by getting each child a Jubilee Medal. 

We were very lucky to receive some special post, thanking us for the card we made for The Queen. We received this a few days before she passed away, so we think we are very lucky.
